Carter Caves Resort Park
Located on the outskirts of beautiful Tygarts State Forest and within a 15 minute drive from Olive Hill, Carter Caves State Resort Park is the place to go for outdoor adventure. It draws its name from its many amazing caves, but it also contains an 18-hole putt-putt golf course, a 9-hole professional golf course, a scenic stocked lake where you can fish or simply paddle around and enjoy the view, and many beautiful trails to hike, bike, or even horseback ride on--bring your own horse or book a ride with their seasonally-open stable. Olive Hill Depot
A booming Olive Hill in 1885 saw the coming of the freight depot, followed by the passenger depot around 1917. Now the Depot has been restored and has become Olive Hill's new trailhead facility.
Kentucky Quilt Trail
Olive Hill is proud to be part of the Kentucky Quilt Trail. The Carter County Heart of the Parks Quilt Trail takes you all across scenic Carter County and showcases the region's quilting heritage. A locally known quilt known as the "Appalachian Sunburst" Quilt Square, dedicated to Country Music Hall of Fame artist and Olive Hill native Tom T. Hall, is located in downtown Olive Hill beside the historic depot. Also, the "Olive Hill Sampler" square, on the side of the DeHart's Pharmacy building is part of the quilt trail. Shoppes on the Hill
Opened in 2014, Shoppes on the Hill provide a wide array of antiques, collectibles and other artisan products at reasonable prices. The Shoppes feature over 18 vendors that sell anything from fine china to primatives.
The Shoppes on the Hill are open Thurs. - Sat. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Olive Hill Center for Arts & Education
The Olive Hill Center for Arts and Education is an organization that looks to promote the arts and provide education enhancment oppurtunites for the surrounding population. The Center utilizes the former Olive Hill High School building overlooking the downtown area. In 2014, the Olive Hill Branch of the Carter County Public Library moved into the renovated third floor.
